Contributions to the 8th District Republican Committee are not tax deductible as charitable donations for federal income tax purposes. Contributions to our federal account are limited by federal law to $2,400 for the primary election and $2,400 for the general election ($4,800 per person for both elections). Federal law requires political committees to use their best efforts to obtain and report the name, mailing address, occupation and name of employer for each individual whose contributions aggregate in excess of $200 in an election cycle. Virginia law requires political committees to maintain a record of the name, mailing address, job title or profession and name of employer or employer’s specific field for each individual who contributes to our committee. Your information will not be reported if your cumulative contribution is $100 or less to this committee in a calendar year. Congressman Cantor is asking for a donation of up to $2,400 per election from an individual’s own funds (or up to $5,000 per election from a multi-candidate PAC or a political party committee). He is not asking for funds from corporations, labor unions, or minors. Paid for by the 8th Congressional District Republican Committee (www.va8gop.org). Not authorized by any candidate or candidate’s committee.
